Last weekend Animals Taiwan, a privately-funded animal shelter near Taipei, had its grand opening party. Well, it wasn’t as much of a “grand opening” celebration as a “coming out” event. AT has been around in one form or another for at least 6(?) years, but thanks to some great volunteers and sponsors it has grown from a guy (Sean) and his flat to an actual dedicated location to an actual dedicated location with pens and official government recognition as an organization.
