So I’m not a real American. Yep, it’s true. I heard it this past Thursday straight from the lipsticked mouth of America’s #1 hockey mom. Of course, she later “pseudo-apologized” (saying “I’m sorry if you misunderstood” is NOT an apology) but the same sentiment has been expressed by others in her campaign and in the GOP party and so it’s obvious that this “conservative = pro-America, liberal = anti-America” is part of the Republican message. Whether or not you are “American” depends on where you live. <_<
Osama Bin Lauden must be pissed. After all, according to Mrs. Palin’s view of America he didn’t attack the “real” America. New York is “fake” America. So is any other large urban city, like Los Angeles…the city I am proud to have been born and raised in. In her mind, Los Angelinos like me aren’t pro-American enough to be real Americans. If a Los Angelino volunteers for the Armed Forces and dies in combat, he’s somehow not worth as much then if, say, he came from a small town in southern Virginia?
I’m going to show you how “real American” I am by exercising 2 of my rights as an American.
Fuck you, Governor Sarah Palin.
Now that I’ve exersized my First Amendment right to free speech, here’s my second. I will exercise my right to vote and cast my ballot for the one campaign that seems to be acting in the best interest of everyone and not trying to divide the nation into an “us or them”. My vote is going to Obama and from the latest polls, it looks like the majority of real Americans feel the same way I do.
You’ve got 12 days left in the spotlight, Mrs. Palin. Try not to say anything you will later regret. Unfortunately, it might be too late. Once you start to divide and incite…

Yeah I’m pretty unhappy with the whole GOP this race. Their decisions for pres/vp could be much better. I think obama is a great pick, appeals to both sides (esp. me), and I just don’t see how so many people can vote for McCain. Even more, I don’t see how so many kids at UO can still support McCain…
I’m so afraid of what will happen after the election, no matter who wins
