The &quot;R&quot; lever is the rewind lock. Put it in the &quot;R&quot; position before rewinding the film. I haven&#039;t tried, but you can probably use it for shooting multiple exposures, too.</description>

		<description>Hey mate, was wandering the streets of Tokyo today and stumbled across a secondhand camera store and picked up a Canonet in near new condition for 500 yen/$6.oo US. There were loads of them in varying models, so if you&#039;re keen you know where to look ;)

Have been checking a few sites but can&#039;t figure out what the &quot;R&quot; function on the base is for.

Also to use the focusing dial, have you been measuring the distance to your subjects when under 5m or are you able to see the focal range through the viewfinder?

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to take a step back form the point and clickers.</description>
