No, I didnt stay up late on New Years Eve. Yes, I went to bed early. So did the rest of my family in fact, because New Years Day was an early one for us. Shortly after the sun cleared the horizon we all awoke, found a taxi willing to carry a dog (this took some time), and headed to the Chiang Kaishek Memorial in Taipei to meet up with hundreds of other dog owners in the city. Officially, it was an event to educate dog owners on spaying/neutering their pets, making sure they had their shots, etc… . Unofficially, it was an excuse to let our canine pals run rampant through a national landmark with a huge open space.
And the weather was perfect.
