It has rained almost without pause for the last week in Taipei. That isn’t a complaint. Quite the contrary. I actually like rain and will pick a cool, rainy November day over a hot, humid August day without a moment’s hesitation. Perhaps it’s because of my upbringing in the perpetually precipitation-challenged Los Angeles…or my multiple layers of natural insulation? Photographically-speaking, rain creates a great atmosphere with which to record images.
And I tried to take advantage of that this week.
This week’s featured Taipei street photography, including some new phonography.
The couple of weeks since my last Streets Saturday post has seen me shopping for Halloween costumes with the kids and attending a small Halloween party along with my normal, everyday here-to-there voyages. These are my favorite decisive moments from the last time until the next time.
I missed the last couple of weeks posting new street photographer interviews in the Photojazz Five series, so I’m making up by featuring a photographer with a truly excellent body of work. And there are six photos, not five. But it’s not cheating. Really. The last one isn’t street.
This past week included my boys monthly hair cut. Unfortunately, their favorite barber closed shop some time back. Thus our quest for a new, regular spot begins…at a nearby woman’s salon.
